Ms. Patty brightened up our first day of beta-testing our new home-delivery program: The Doorstep Pantry.
If you’ve driven through our Mobile Pantry, chances are you’ve met Tori. Tori is our Communications Manager, and when she’s not hiding behind a camera, she’s out making friends with our neighbors who come to us to receive food.
When you come to our Mobile Pantry regularly, you notice when a person keeps showing up. In Waverly, Steve is one of those people.
“We are here to love those who come to us, to serve them, and make them feel important,” said Adrienne Pelletier, our Florida Intern (and soon-to-be Florida Manager).
Meet our volunteer, Bob, whom we lovingly refer to as “Cookie Bob” for all the delicious reasons you might expect.
“It is not just giving away food for free; it is sharing hope, honor and dignity through food with the goal of walking through one season and growing into the next one,” said Daelyn, our Alabama Manager.
Since February, we’ve been giving out groceries in a parking lot that was once submerged in floodwater. The Waverly community has been helping us reclaim that space as one of resilience, not one of destruction.
Annette is a loyal friend and excellent team wrangler. Depending on the time of day, you might find her organizing meetings and events or kicking back at Mojo’s Tacos.
Scott, our Director of Operations, is always ready to crack a joke, but on the inside, he’s really just a big softie.
